Fireplace Inserts

Fireplace inserts are usually made from cast iron or steel. In today’s fireplaces, these inserts usually come equipped with self-cleaning glass doors that allow the flames of the fire to be viewed while the doors remain closed.

When it comes to function and design, fireplace inserts have come a long way. The most basic design is simply a place of cast-iron where the logs can fit and a fire can be started. But one of the biggest values of today’s fireplace inserts is you can enjoy a fire any time of year, and determine how much heat you want the fire to exude.

Today’s fireplace inserts often have a burner inside, as well as self-lighting logs, which allow you to control the strength of the flame. The doors are designed in everything from satin nickel to gold and are meant to improve the room’s overall look and character.
